MARCH 13, 2024 Open Cupboard Food Pantry News:
A month ago a devastating fire destroyed our Open Cupboard food pantry location. They now have a temporary location, so please help if you are able.
Help us Fill the Sills at St. Thomas through the first week in April to help the Open Cupboard Food Pantry restock their inventory. We are seeking non-perishable items which will be delivered to their current temporary location at the High Bridge Reformed Church.
Note: Please check the expiration dates if cleaning out your pantry.
We are also still taking financial donations either in the offering plate or here on our website.
The best way to help right now will be through monetary donations and Shoprite gift cards. Please visit our website: https://www.opencupboardfoodpantry.org/how-to-donate/ to use our online portal. Or you can donate on this page by clicking on the button below and your donation will be forwarded to the Open Cupboard.

MORNING PRAYER TRAINING At our annual meeting, the vestry presented some alternate plans for our Sunday worship. One of our cost-saving ideas was to have morning prayer one Sunday a month. This morning prayer would be led by a trained volunteer from our congregation. There was a lot of interest and volunteers. We have scheduled our first morning prayer volunteer training by Father Kyle on Monday, April 22 at 6:30pm at St. Thomas. This training will be approximately 1.5 hours that evening. If you voiced an interest earlier in the year, please plan to attend this training. We will have a sign-up sheet in the gallery as well.
PRAYER CHAIN A prayer chain is a group of people committed to praying for a specific reason or person for a pre-determined period of time. Typically, a prayer chain starts with one person who shares a prayer need with the group, then the request is passed along to the members of the group to pray over daily. Currently, prayer requests are given to our administrator, Cindy, and added to our prayers of the people on Sunday mornings. St. Thomas would once again like to have a prayer chain in place by May 1st. If you would like to join this prayer team, please speak with Linda Ubry, Katharine MacCornack or Michelle Wagner. Daily prayers from our members for people in difficult times are one of the most effective ways to do ministry beyond the walls of St. Thomas.
