Good News: A Weekly Update from St Thomas Church - July 25, 2019

In the letter to the Colossians we read these words:

“As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

— Colossians 2:6-15, (16-19)

The challenge for us is to live what we say we believe, not just in the big things, but in all the little, everyday things. The strangers we meet through our work, in our travels; the ones who service the car or pack the groceries; on and on. Living our lives in Christ, allowing ourselves to be rooted ever deeper in his love – this is what changes the world, one little bit at a time.

Let us pray:

O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Peace and blessing,
